Desperate search for 2-year-old Idaho boy continues

LEADORE, Idaho — Authorities in Lemhi County are looking for a two-year-old boy who apparently walked away from his family’s campsite at Timber Creek Campground near Stone Reservoir.

Lemhi County Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Paul Smith told the Idaho Statesman that the boy, 2-year-old Deorr Kunz, Jr., was last seen at his campsite on Friday.

Smith said a missing person report was filed around 2:30 p.m., about an hour after the boy disappeared. Crews immediately began searching.

“It appears like he just vanished,” grandmother Trina Bates Clegg told EastIdahoNwes.com

A helicopter, search and rescue team, search dogs, Lemhi County staff, Salmon Police Department staff and volunteers are all searching the area for Kunz.

Officials said more than 150 people participated in the search Saturday. K9s were used, and several people searched on horses and ATVs.

The boy has blonde bushy hair and was wearing a camouflage jacket, blue pajama pants and cowboy boots.

At one point on NG, Houck explains his lack of interest in her disappearance on Saturday. He says he "placed a phone call." That seems like he almost didn't expect an answer, as if he were getting a call on record rather than actually trying to reach her. Or would it be expected since he called and now knows he didn't reach her?

The more I read of these cases where young women, mothers with children, live with these men who destroy their lives and the lives of their children, frequently murdering them or their children, or all, and exposing their innocent babes to the clutches of her rapist boyfriend or stepfather to the children; the angrier I get with them. Don't they know that if the man in their lives cared one ounce about their welfare, the first thing he would have done is marry her so he could provide security for them all, before he ever spent one night in her bed in front of her children?

Now here's another one. A beautiful young woman who already had four children to raise; her photo so sweet and innocent, hunkering down with a fool she had every reason to be skeptical of, having baby number five with him, now she's missing. Five little children left with no mother OR father. I'd like to have taken her by the shoulders and shaken her liver lose when she first moved him in on top of her precious kids. They just never learn, do they?

I'm sorry folks. I'm not blaming her for her own disappearance and death, she was stupid and gullible to settle for the crumbs, like so many others who think this lifestyle is hunky-dory and all peaches & cream when it isn't, and I guess we can't give ourselves sense we don't have. But not to even consider that we could wind up in a worse fate than raising our kids by ourselves? What in God's name ARE these women thinking about? Men too who expose their innocent kids to an evil violent step-mother or live-in roomie who destroys their lives? It just makes me so angry.

Sure the lyin' b'stard did her in. A very sad and sorry situation. Another beautiful woman murdered and dumped like stinking garbage at the hands of her scum-bag POS lover, who probably wasn't even all that good in bed either. Just MO....

Many times when the woman in a relationship "goes missing" the man in the relationship either passively or defiantly refuses to search for her or actively participate in the rest of her families efforts. Why?
